With 1.4+ Millions members serving in more than 46,000 clubs in over 206 countries and geographical areas, Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and hearing impaired. The Winona Noon Lions Club was founded in 1935. They are part of Lions District 5M1, which is 8 counties in South East Minnesota. The group is a community minded bunch of individuals who pool their talents on behalf of local needs. The club meets at noon on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Mondays of each month. The Noon Lions may concentrate on helping individuals or families, often spearheading community-wide programs involving the support and participation of local citizens. In addition to locally-based programs, the club also helps support the relief projects undertaken by fellow Lions in different parts of the world.
ALL MONIES raised by Lions Clubs goes back into the communities to support international and local programs. NOT ONE PENNY of any money raised goes into administration expenses, it is all given back to worthy causes.
